Styling Your Child’s Hair

Becca and Janeen both were admiring Alessia’s hair so much in this video that I thought I might share our secrets to making baby’s hair SOOO cute!!

1. Have a baby with very little hair
2. Take the little hair she has and make 2 little pig tails. Yes, this will require a special talent and skill and will require you to pull her small strands of hair quite a bit.
3. Leave these pig tails in her hair for 12 hours. Ensure that she doesn’t touch them or they will fall out. This may require you to play with your child so she forgets about the pigtails.
4. Take out pigtails. Be sure not to touch the hair as it might get flattened. Although in our case this isn’t really a worry. In fact, it won’t go down even if you try.
5. Rinse – Repeat

Caution: Do not try to do this with only 1 pony tail. Pig tails work best when the child is learning to walk. 1 Pony tail might throw her off balance causing her to fall to the ground and injure her frail body.

That is pretty impressive hair Alessia. I tried putting Katie’s hair into a little ponytail and I failed miserably. It was just way too hard and she moved too much. stopped when the crying started.

They have to make it s difficult and yet I keep waiting for Rylee to grow some hair so we can actually try something other than a headband and bow.

John forgot to mention in his tutorial how to get the three little piggies oops I mean two little pig tails in…distraction is key.

For Alessia if you do it while she is looking at her self in the mirror or strapped in her booster seat eating cheerios it is ten thousand times easier.

Good luck Sara with Katie. She seems like she has enough hair. Of course when it is thin it is even harder because once you get it in it falls out.
