Gianluca is half a year old!  How did that happen? He is so easy going and almost always smiling.

He has slowed down on his weight gain.  He is now 17 pounds.  He finally grew into his big cheeks.

When I look back and pictures from when he was first born I see that he is bigger but really his cheeks are still the same size.  They were just so gigantic when he was born.

Gianluca can’t really decide if he wants to sleep through the night or not.  He will do it for a week or two and then he will decide he needs to wake up once in the middle of the night.  Luckily, for the most part he has been a good sleeper lately.

He has grown so much and is so strong now that we had to move down the mattress level on the crib and the pack n play.  Just for fun I took out the baby bassinet the other day and took pictures of him in it so I could see how big he really is in comparison to being a newborn.

Gianluca has gone from sleeping all over the house.  He is now in with Micah.  So far it has been working well.  Gianluca use to be able to sleep through all the chaos but is now starting to need it to be more quiet to stay asleep.  Whenever I wanted him to sleep before I could just put a blanket over him and he would close his eyes and fall asleep.  That no longer works.  Really all he needs is his crib and a blanket and he will put himself to sleep. It is so nice.

Gianluca is now eating solids.  He eats baby food three times a day as well as his regular bottles.  He doesn’t seem to drink as much formula as my other kids did but he seems just fine.

He is fully crawling now.  He can also pull himself up on things.  He can get into all sorts of things.  He loves to play with toys. He can sit now too.  Although not for very long.

He still spits up but not nearly as much as before.  The worst though is he will spit up and then crawl through it before we notice he has done it.

His big toes also still stick up.  We can push them down but they just pop up again.  Hopefully he will be able to wear shoes one day.  Maybe these funky toes will help him be really good in some sport one day.

He is usually all smiles.  He still loves his siblings even though they continue to torture him daily with all their ideas of fun.

We just love our little guy and are so happy is ours.
