John was out of town for two weeks, then home a few days and gone another two days.  When he got back the kids were on Spring Break.  We decided if we could find a hotel at a decent price we would take the kids to San Diego.

Lucky for me and the kids we were able to find one in San Diego right next to Sea World!  So we loaded up the kids and some clothes in the car and we took of for California.

I told the kids if they could make it two hours without having to stop I would give them each a dollar.  They made it 2 hours and 2 minutes.  We stopped in this run down town at this run down gas station where you had to buy something if you wanted to use the bathrooms.  So 3 candy bars for $5 was the cost of the stop. Plus the $3 I still owed to my kids. Was it worth it?  Yes.  Next time I will change it to 4 hours though.

We got to our hotel at 3 and unloaded and then hit up the beach.  It was a little colder than the weather we had here at home but it was still nice.  The kids built sand castles and played in the ocean.  They could have spent all day there.  Even Gianluca loved it.
