Trouble

Gianluca is trouble.  He gets into everything.

One morning I was having a not so good morning.  Curtis wanted waffles for breakfast.  I wanted to do just cereal but decided we had time so I would make waffle.  Big Mistake.

I start the waffles by separating the eggs but then add the other wet ingredients to the whites instead of the yolks.  So I had to start all over again.  I should have just called it quits then.

I try again and I get it right.  Of course while this is happening I am trying to get my kids to get dressed,  I am attempting to make lunches for the kids, Gianluca wants to be held and is just clinging to my legs and Micah is on the counter wanting to help dump all the ingredients in the bowl.

So I get the eggs and the other wet ingredients going. I measure out the flour and leave it on the counter in the sifter while I walk ten steps to get the salt and baking powder and all of a sudden Gianluca pulls the sifter off the counter and the flour spills out all over his head.

By this point I want to cry but I do what every good mother who is trying not to lose it does, I grab my camera and I take pictures of Gianluca having a meltdown with all the flour all over him.

Finally I get him cleaned up (Mind you he had already been cleaned and half dressed for the day). I clean up the flour.  I make another batch of waffles and by then the whites are way too stiff but I don’t care.  I mix it in and serve it to my kids who don’t seem to notice that these waffles about killed me.

Moral of the story: Don’t make waffles!
