At the beginning of the school year Curtis’s P.E. teacher asked him if he would like to run in a 5k.  A friend of hers was willing to sponsor 5 kids to run in the race.  He was excited to do it. I signed up so I could run it with him too.  It was a run to sponsor a bunch of pet organizations so there were a lot of dogs in the race too.

The race was called “Run Through The Hills”.  We ran through the beautiful neighborhood of McDonald Ranch.  There are nice, big custom homes in the subdivision.  After running about a mile Curtis was tired and had a cramp.  We pretty much had to run/walk the rest of it.  Curtis kept getting distracted by all the homes.  He kept picking out the ones he wanted me to buy.

While we didn’t get that great of a time we did have a great time running the race together.
