Lemonade Stand

Our friend Sam invited my kids to do a lemonade stand with him a few weeks ago.  Curtis had a friend over so he opted to stay home.  Alessia and Micah were super excited though.

Sam made a sign, cookies and lemonade.  We made some kool-aid.  Jenny and I wanted to just do it at the park near our house but Sam insisted we go to another park.

In the end Sam was right. He picked the best location.  We got to the park and the kids got everything all set up.  Alessia is quite the sales person.  She has no fear. She yelled to everyone to let them know what they were selling.

It was slow going at first but then things started to pick up.  Jenny and I just sat back and let the kids do all the negotiations and service.  The kids even walked over to the soccer fields where parents were watching their kids practice and sold some lemonade to them.

In the end they earned about $14. They were so excited.  They wanted to go back the next day and do it again.  We told them they had to wait though until after Sam’s fun trip to Ireland. I am sure my kids will be begging to go sell lemonade as soon as Sam comes home.
