Colorado River and Friends

Our last big harrah with our friends, the Bennetts was yesterday.  We went out to Laughlin to play on the Colorado river.  The Salters and the Smarts joined us for a day of fun in the sun.

We rented a jet ski and the Smarts brought their boat. Craig took most of the kids out on the boat.  Curtis loved going tubing off the boat.  It was his favorite part of the day.

Micah loved riding the jet ski.  He told me I was amazing. However, at the end of the day he loved going out with his dad more.

Gianluca pretty much tried to sample all the food that was brought. He didn’t want to eat anything in its entirety jut wanted to nibble on it all.  ‘

Alessia’s favorite thing was helping out our friends when their car broke down.  The Smarts had to leave a little earlier then the rest of us to get Alanna to a dance recital.  However, their car broke down not much after they got on the freeway.  The Salters rescued Christine and Alanna and took them home.  We went to an auto store and bought the parts the Craig needed to fix his truck.  When we got home that night Alessia said the following in her prayer, “Thank you that we have phones.  Thank you that we could help our friends”.  She loved her time on the river but doing service was what she loved most.  She is a good kid.

Of course John and I loved jet skiing and just being with friends.  We definitely need to do it again.  John, Curtis, Alessia and I got a little too much sun.  Our sun screen must not have been working right.  But the baby is still white and Micah is nicely bronzed.  Oh to have his nice dark skin.

It was a fun day with great friends.  Honestly all these people are like family to us.   We love them all so much.  We will miss the Bennetts when they are gone. I know that they will have fun on their travels.
