Legoland, California

Usually in the end of October beginning of November we get a long weekend off of school for Nevada Day.

We decided to take advantage of the time off and go to California.  At first we were just going to go to the beach and maybe Sea World.  However, our kids had been begging us for over a year or so to take them to Legoland. After much debating we decided now was the time to take them before Curtis outgrew it.

We have never stayed at an amusement park but decided to try it out this time.  We all LOVED staying at the Legoland Resort.  We chose the Pirate Themed Room. The kids loved the little scavenger hunt that was provided to earn the numbers to the code to the room’s safe. They especially loved the legos that were left for them in the safe.  The room was super spacious (having 4 kids makes it so you have to book the bigger room) and very comfortable.  The elevators at the hotel were awesome.  They played elevator music until the doors closed and then a disco ball turned while dance music played.  The room came with the free buffet.  While it was nice to not have to leave for dinner none of us were really all that impressed with the meals.

We arrived the night before our trip to Legoland and then just got up and went to the park early.  When you stay at the resort you can enter the park and hour earlier than other guest.  This was awesome because it meant there were no lines for an hour.  You can go on a lot of rides in an hour when there aren’t any rides.

The park was really a perfect fit for all of our kids.  Curtis at ten wasn’t bored.  He loved all of it.  Gianluca was only 2 but he could go on mostly everything.

We had a great day as a family enjoying the rides and entertainment. Alessia even earned a Lego figurine thingy-magig for participating in one of their shows.

We ended the days with fun swirled ice cream cones before driving the long drive back home.

Legoland really was a fun place.  The kids absolutely loved it. We would definitely love to go again.

We were having so much fun we didn’t change Gianluca’s diaper soon enough.  He decided pole dancing without pants was a fine activity.
