My kids were so excited to see leaves on the ground.  They had a blast raking them up into piles and then jumping in them.  Living in Vegas this just does not happen.

While playing in them one night Curtis lost his glasses. It was pretty dark. I had to go out there and sift through all the leaf piles to find his glasses.  Luckily when I found them they were still in one piece.

A few days later it snowed and covered all the leaf piles.  Come spring we heard that there were nice bald spots in the lawn where my kids had built their piles.  Opps.  Next time we will have to pick up all of our leaves.
