Curtis is now 12 years old. I can scarcely believe it. Since it was an even year it was just a family celebration. It was a super busy day for me so I made cinnamon rolls for him for breakfast. While he was at school we decorated the house. He enjoyed opening presents and having cake later in the evening.
The following Sunday Curtis officially graduated from Primary and earned his Faith in God. But the most important thing was he was ordianed a Deacon. He seemed a little nervous to move on from Primary into Young Men but has adjusted pretty seamlessly.
It is still so weird for me to see my little boy passing the Sacrament. I do see a little more maturity in the gospel with him though. I love to watch him fulfill his responsibilities and also the assignments his Sunday School teacher gives him.
This past week while Grandma and Grandpa were in town we were able to take Curtis to the Temple to do Baptisms for the first time. He was super nervous and wasn’t sure he wanted to do them but he did. I was so proud of him.
