Beauty and The Beast

Beauty and The Beast

Part of John’s birthday present was tickets to see Beauty and the Beast.  We took Alessia a long with us. We went to dinner beforehand.  It was quite strange to be at a restaurant with only one kid.  She wasn’t used to causal, slow dining.  Usually when we go out to eat with the kids we do it as fast… Read more →

Preschool

Preschool

Gianluca started attending Preschool in January. It was a class of three year olds.  He was able to go to Ms. Danielle’s (Curtis’s kinder teacher and Alessia’s preschool teacher).  He couldn’t say Danielle correctly.  So whenever he talked about her it sound like Ms Snail. He loved preschool most days.  There were a few he would cry on the way. … Read more →

Toronto

For our anniversary John planned a little getaway to Toronto.  My parents watched the kids so we could get away. We drove up to to Toronto one day and met John’s friend Collin and his wife for lunch at this little pub.  Collin and his wife were so nice.  It was fun to spend some time with them. After checking… Read more →

Micah loves Starbucks.  He thinks their kids hot chocolate is so good.  While drinking it he says “mmm, I love coffeee”.  For Christmas he wanted a gift card to Starbucks.  He also wanted to go on a date with my Aunt Donna to Starbucks.  He said he was going to go all by himself but at the last minute chickened… Read more →

Christmas

We spent Christmas Eve at my Uncle Richie’s home with my mom’s siblings and children.  It is always fun to get together with them.  They are some of the funniest people I know.  Alessia even sang for them “When Joseph Went To Bethlehem”. After spending the evening eating, playing and talking we headed home to prep for Santa’s arrival.  The… Read more →

Church Sites

Just like the year before we spent part of Christmas Eve out in Palmyra visiting the church sites.  This year we spent most of our time at the Hill Cumorah, The Joseph Smith Frame Home, The Log Home and the Sacred Grove.  We also quickly snapped a picture in front of the closed Palmyra Temple. I am pretty sure we… Read more →

The Zoo and Museums

One day John and I took the kids to the zoo.  Curtis spent most of the time taking pictures of all the animals. The kids had fun looking at all the animals, pretending to be veterinarians and playing at the park.  It is fun to go to the zoo I grew up going to as a kid.  As a kid… Read more →

Garden Center

There is a big Garden Center near my parents home (think Home Depot).  They turn their greenhouse into a fun winter wonderland during the Holidays.  There are rides, games, crafts and even horse back riding.  We met Uncle Justin there and spent the morning playing. Alessia and Gianluca wanted to go Horseback riding.  It was so cold and windy out… Read more →

First Things First

The first thing we did when we got to New York was Christmas Tree Shopping.  I love going  to a real Christmas tree farm. It is so fun to see my desert rats wearing thick winter clothing.  I love to watch them searching for the perfect Christmas tree.  This year we decided Alessia could pick out the tree.  (Curtis had… Read more →
